The greatest beauty
This man has forever seen
Holy countenance
 

The holy peace
Oneness in Christ
Awakens my soul
to life
All that I am
Longs for the place ...

These damned addictive habits
I pick up the phone
Check for text messages
I just checked two minutes ago
I want to check again
Nothing matters more ...

dim rains sop
life loses all meaning
or so it is told
by the dark voices deep within
nagging and beckoning
the holy walker of love ...

today is a day to fly
to sing to the soaring hawks
to rise above the winds
to the place where the air is thin
today is the day to dance
to feel the rhythms within ...

i spent a little time
walking in the darkness
over the past few days
i don't know why
it's so much harder
than it's ever been ...

So there was this guy I knew
Tom
Tom was a pretty good guy
At least to me
But to the ladies
He was a real fucker ...

Rich earthy depth
Softness shining true
Comfort in a gaze
A moment share in you
Delighted in a smile
Enlivened in your grace ...

She averts her eyes
hangs her head
the hawk was flying
not far from me
in an expansive
blue sky ...

Take all that I am
Obliterate my soul
Remove all desires
My need to be whole
Destroy my dawning wisdom
Make all my thoughts small ...

Closing: two versions...
Closing an ending chapter
The next starts to write
Freed of the burdens
The bird takes new flight
Writing the next chapter ...

we'll dance a new poem
i'll sweep you away
a magic carpet ride
on a bright summer day
and after our dance
you'll tell me your name ...

lead me to the edge
and beckon me to dive
be the lines of my poem
be my hunger's satisfaction
be alive in this moment
taste me as i taste you ...

the starkness of a white lie
standing naked before me
it cannot erase
the vision now exposed
random thoughts colliding
in a mind that seeks it all ...

she had planned
for his incursion
for some time now
planted the seeds
for his arrival
he followed the breadcrumbs ...

I'm sitting here
On the beach
Smiling
And laughing
Alone
I drove around ...

I stood
Screaming
Standing amongst a crowd
Of strangers
Just a few minutes ago
Though the memory ...

I am love
As you are love
It is all we know
These words
Simple, yet profound
Have become ...

Voice of God is heard
In the silence of my heart
He calls out our Name

the colors of your eyes
sometimes bright and vibrant
other times more subtle
and warm
the colors of your eyes
remind me ...

green twisted tendrils
rusty iron teeth
obscured by your suits
smooth, green, and pleasant
we are no longer fucking persuaded
by your promises, your mysteries, your smoothness ...

subtle questions
exploding with the hidden thoughts
of a woman of understanding
of a woman of great passion
of a woman searching
for the ecstacy ...

we've both heard the reasons
why we can't be together
'if loving you is wrong...'
well... you know the rest
but you're all i ever think of
your warmth, your scent ...

Attractiveness of never
   spilled from the dark sky
     pale blue walls
        of a hallway that never ends...
Lost in the silence
    the soundless wails of death ...

the last time i climbed a tree
(outside of my poetic imaginings)
was perhaps four years ago
or five
i was trying to keep up
with my daughters ...

sharing the moments
joined in emotive oneness
creating in love

faith surely allows
the persistence of peace
regardless of happenstance
irrespective of loss
no matter the state
in the instant of grace ...

on the other side
of the hidden secret door
the light is pleasant

He climbed the tall tree
It was quite an accomplishment
Had been some time
Since he'd attempted
Such a feat
The exertion served him well ...

divinity streams from his fingers
magic is at his command
walking the path of forgiveness
on the rock and the shifting white sand
the angels bow down before him
chosen to teach and to lead ...

Miracle’s healing
Curing my soul
Divinity’s love
Making me whole
Magnificence flows
In wondrous light ...

Her shoulders fell
When she heard the news
The slight spring breeze
Released the blossoms
From the pear tree
Glorious and hopeful ...

Focused on the way -
Walk in harmony with all -
Persistent journey.

This blank page
Was destined to be filled
With words from the heart
Of a contrite soul
This blank page
Devoid of meaning ...

Gritty and earthy taste
Mixed with fragrant sweetness
Hot or cold
Life insists on being consumed
He who does not partake
In the meat of life’s trials ...

Walk in the shadows
Of the soaring wings above
The hawk flies for you

The beauty of life
Changing, ebbing, flowing
Can never be
Fully understood
The usefulness of life
Found ...

Midday
The warmth of your love
Touches my deep essence
Where you are
I do not know
But I know ...

touching my deepest heart
blood flows through my veins
forever gentle breezes
forever quenching rains
today's longing reason
the essence of my desire ...

You passionately dance
To the song of your heart
Gloriously free
In beauty, you flow
Magnificent daughter
Of magnificent God ...

The Light of Christ's Face
Changes we who are ready
Love's holy instant

burned in the fire...
all the darkness fell away...
only light remained

methodical martyrdom

web that captures hopes ...
