red dust on my shoes
tears, endless tears
life marches on
moving forever onward ...

small hands
reaching out for comfort
too far away
too small
not good enough
small hands ...

the blink of an eye
a glance from a friend
the moment of decision
a glimpse down the path
all that i am
changed in a moment ...

Nervous Anticipation
Minds touching, spirits enmeshed,
She loves me, but will she like me?
Too good to be true
Too true to ignore
Synchronous happenstances ...

Sacrificing life
Honoring the moment
One breath, One beat, One impulse, One choice
The spirit moves us
The God of yesterday, the God of today, the God of this moment
Ageless, timeless, present, alive

The heart is the bridge ...
between spirit and mind ...
the heart feels the spirit's longing....
the mind hears the heart's cry ...
the heart feels the spirit's longing....
the rhythm of the heartbeat ... ...

Change
Could, should, must, might, will
Or not
The choice is mine and mine alone
Misery or hope
Angst or peace ...

Familiar fear
Sweet pain
Silent cacophony
Fleeting resolve
.
Fighting for life ...

the hope is here
again today
my constant fear
of yesterday
has dwindled down
and faded away ...

Wondrous wonderment,
Devout confusion,
The spiritual battleground of my mind;
I seek the peace,
I see the light,
Whilst stumbling through the foggy night; ...

standing at a fork in the road
a choice, the hardest choice
shall i follow my head or my heart?
shall I follow the rules of the world or that small voice?
will i make the hard choice, even when most everybody tells me i'm wrong?
standing at a fork in the road ...

endless surrenders ...
constant bliss ...
today, tomorrow ....
faith has set my spirit aloft ....
the worries fade ....
tomorrow dawns ... ...

the beat ...
feeling
following
the tide ...
melting
subsiding ...

Yesterday, I lost hope
Yesterday, I was alone
Wandering aimlessly toward the mire of hopelessness
My fate, yet again, unknown
I made a simple choice today
To come home to my friends ...

Speechless
Breathless
Magnificent
Wonderful
Ageless
Timeless ...

Eyes locked
Fingertips touching
Beating hearts
Reaching out
Gentle
Feeling ...

I sit here alone in my misery
Trying so hard to find peace
The answers, they all elude me
I don't understand what I've done.
I try to make sense of my life today
Wonder what things I've done wrong ...

I looked into my eyes today
And liked who I saw
The me I've become
Is pleasing to behold
My joy is overflowing
So difficult to contain ...

A hundred lifetimes ago, I found a caterpillar
Treated her with such care
From her little box I found her in
She looked up with great despair
I cut a window in the box
So she could get some air ...

Make them stop, they won't go away
Crying, crying, dying, dead
My disquiet mind haunts me, taunts me
Shall I leave or shall I stay?
I welcome them with open arms
A knife behind my back ...

Why do I go down this path toward fear?
Why do I invite the chaos so readily and openly?
Why do I so quickly forget the tools that have served me so well?
My inactivity creates a cycle,
the cycle loops out of control,
It starts with a moment of doubt, ...

I've told you I love you,
You know that it's true.
Why must we live apart,
When we know our love is complete?
Our time together brings such bliss,
To me, to you, to us, ...

Stranded on the island of my creation,
Separate from all in the world,
My aloneness was utterly complete,
A testament to my self-defeat.
My being was filled with nothingness,
My soul cried out to be heard, ...
