swirling, twirling, twisting
the wind’s song is beginning its fatal cry
how I long to hear the sand
as it crunches
under your feet
as you walk away ...

Waking from a bad dream
I am filled with great dread
It all dissipates
With a single look at you
Still sleeping like an angel
I gently kiss your cheek ...

Where infinity meets the human mind
There the stark reality of the unseen thoughts prevails
Time and space folding into oblivion
A glance at the eternal corners of creation’s origin
Finding rest in a peaceful moment of bliss
The walker on the path of discovery peers anew ...

A walk on the beach
The sun setting over the tall buildings
They enjoyed the sounds of the waves
The colors of the darkening winter sky
Tomorrow would bring new experiences
Joyous and free, but short lived ...

Where was the joy?
Where were the smiles?
In an instant, I wept.
For a lifetime, I cried.
Those folks behind that window, lost and yet at rest, seemed to have a touch of the surreal, and a light mist of dread.
Where was it heading? ...

As one, we walk this holy day
Forever together, come what may
Your mercy shines from each bright face
Alive in your divine embrace
Sacred wonders touch each heart
May fear and suffering now depart ...

As the clouds again gather
And shadow all the land
I call to mind your power
All moved by your mighty hand
Storms and thunder and rain
Trials and lessons and pain ...

With thanks, I bow down
Gentle and contrite
Revel in your power
Your overwhelming sight
Alive in flowing bliss
My God, I worship you ...

Take me ever deeper
Break my stubborn will
Rain on me, dear Father
Teach me to be still
Perfected in your Glory
Sanctified and true ...

One with the Creator
We sing a song of peace
Imprisoned by imposters
From thoughts, receive release
Thoughts of perfect misery
From separation’s lack ...

My love for you has grown again
As I slept
As I was in a place of calm peace
My love for you again grew
The sun shines brightly today
As the hope shines from my bright heart ...

I listened to the knowing words of the blue jay
Not far from my open window
As I felt the mild summer breezes rippling in
Enjoying each moment of gentle peace
His brash call, most days, passed me unchanged
Today, though, his song was somehow different ...

I woke this morning
And felt a gentle breeze
I woke this morning
And heard a bird’s song
You woke this morning
I breathed you a breeze ...

Beyond our highest thoughts
Over all we could understand
Beyond all comprehension
Spreading across the land
A song flows from the hearts
Joined in the holy name ...

Today I received
A most glorious gift
Freedom from anger
Sealed with a kiss
Spirit, most Holy
Rising in me ...

Presence
Your holy embrace
Fills the people of your grace
Power of your face
Thriving
Living to survive ...

Sweet as honeysuckle
Loving, gentle, and kind
Beautiful and real
Daughter, precious, divine
Following the way
Paved by God above ...

From the darkest corners of misery
Grow the subtle agents of change
In the dimly lit lost memories
Clever, dark and strange
There crosses the angel of dark
With wings of gold and steel ...

With each dawning day
Brave and bold new arrivals
Fill the landscape of possibilities
To one with eyes open
Let us look to the bright heavens
Pray to the Maker of all ...

My heart, it expands
But still, it cannot reach you
So then it contracts

Tears streaming through a feigned smile
This shallow water that we wade in tonight
Warm but with chilly undercurrents
Many emotions just beneath a shiny veneer
Weary tiredness from feelings pushed deep
The scream of forever longing to escape ...

it is about neither more nor less
it is about neither cold nor hot
it is only about the place where universes bloom
in a holy kiss
in a precious touch
let us forever be one ...

No more grays
Give me black or white
Hot or cold
Dark or light
Lukewarm days
And mild nights ...

from the depths of my heart
i sing you this song
a love that will last
and stand ever strong
...
this love is alive ...

mystical missionary
touching the world with her magical Love
she is compassion personified
blown by the warm divine winds
passionately praising
flowing in her God’s Holy Spirit ...

With two new coins
I walked to the flowing waters
To the fountain of wishes
A coin for my lover and a coin for me
To be granted a wish
By the Lord of the Waters ...

a delicate china cup
and the sweet and tart tea that fills it
a bit too hot on the waiting lips
assuredly worth the moments wait
a soft and warm fur
cozy and comforting to my soul ...

blessed by the giver
of life, love, and hope
gratefully walking
through warm days and cold
blessed by a God
who cares about you ...

He woke this morning with both eyes closed,
Nagging pains of fearful and angry dreams held him still.
Hope filled his quiet heart, "Please lift me from the misery,"
Of a daily walk in the perfections presented by his fat fate.
Last few beans of coffee from two of four last bags,
He ground them with great fury, brewed a pleasing dark brew. ...

For just a few moments
He wandered in the dark
Lost and alone
Cold, scared and stark
But then he remembered
And opened his eyes ...

Circling emotions
Devouring the lost truth
Where did the sanity go?
What is left to lose?
Ignorant refrains
From the monkey or the mouse ...

He was recreated by the great creator
Abiding within his contrite and softened heart
Flew among the soaring hawks
Sang the ancient lessons of angels’ flowing art
Awakened in the quiet awakening
Storms moved his soul to truly change ...

Smoothed by the great storms
Dreamer dreams the final dream
All is left unsaid

To find the purpose in nature is to lose some of its true beauty. Nature's true essence is alive and breathing and artful and glorious.
The song of a warbler
The warmth of a fresh rose
The touch of soft rain
Beyond what forever knows
Forever in tune ...

he walks with grace and self-assured arrogance
wraps his arms around her slim and wanting waist
she looks up ever so slightly
meets his unabashed and piercing gaze
his lips touch hers, wrap hers, take hers
quickly hers are parted by his quick tongue ...

Stalled for a moment
No movement to be had
Traffic at a standstill
Might as well be glad
In time, people leave their cars
Begin to move around ...

In the reflection of my eyes
Reflected in the bathroom mirror
I see reflected
The mirror’s reflection of my eyes
In the reflection of me
Reflected in your piercing eyes ...

For uncountable lifetimes
He sought all manner of things
Riches, romance, fame, fulfillment
Never content, never resting
He had been a traveling musician
A sharecropper earning his keep ...

He thought he had joy
Until he tried to recall
The last time he laughed

Bubbling from the fiery deep
Hints of divinity’s song
Starts from the warm spark
In the center of the belly
Warm, bright, alive
Frightened by the anticipation ...

Filled in the spirit
Alive in the dance of God
Anointed to do good works
Rejoice in His great love
Prayers today fulfilled
Standing together as one ...

Perfection’s gentle nod
Inflamed in holy fire
Prayers of sacred awakening
Tongues of wondrous love
Received in God’s great glory
Falling from heaven above ...

In the sacred mind of Christ
False thoughts fall away
In the holy heart of Jesus
All is perfect love
The real and true church of God
Is the living body of Christ ...
