loving the dream

merrily, merrily
gazing into the darkness
fleeing from the light
waiting to take a chance

the beauty of a poem
sweet smelling rose
colors the serpent
covers the eagle

simple truth is, i gotta live this stuff
to deny this is to die
peacefully in love, or chaotically in lust
but death is death, and today i live

trudging onward
living the poem
not always pretty
but it's me
