One word, and then another…

One word.

And then another.

This is the cure for writers’ block.

But it’s a cure only for the symptoms.

The real solution is deeper. Much deeper.

Good writing flows from the heart; only an open heart flows.

The solution then, the cure, is to open the heart, to free the heart, to create the connection from heart to mind, to free the muse, to invite her perfect song.

We’ve got to dig deep, to surrender, to seek and allow ourselves to heal and to grow. The difference between inspired writing and common drivel is an open heart.

Where do I turn but to you?

Only you can fill this empty space that is all I now know.

Madness is on my only seen horizon.

Take me to that place I have forgotten.

Take me to the only place that heals.

Take me now to you.

From the Stillness

Stillness invaded his presence
Colors from the abyss flowed forth, mixing, twisting, glowing
A time of renewal was upon him

Wonder invaded his thoughts
Seeds of imagination planted in fertile soil, watered, tended
A time of growth was upon him

Music invaded his thoughts
Scores of angels, sweetly serenading, leading him home
A time of peace was upon him

Light invaded his thoughts
Wisdom of the ages, flowing with the songs, growing in the winds
A time of elegance was upon him

The Universe invaded his thoughts
A surrender, a quieting, a listening, an inviting of all
A time of perfection was upon him

Perfection

Surrender to the place
Where only love is found
There you’ll hear the angels
Singing a heavenly sound

Accept the life that’s yours
And share it with the world
See the gifts that breathe
New life in them unfurled

Ask for God’s bright blessings
Receive them in your soul
Believe in Love’s great miracle
And be at once made whole

Peace will shine upon you
The Light that’s always on
Shining through the darkness
As night gives way to dawn

Dive into infinity
Feel the love of all
One in heaven’s wonder
Answer now the call

Perfection is upon us
Seen with open eyes
Humble, pure, and true
From darkness now we rise

Surrender now to love
Let love be all you see
Following hope and peace
God’ true mystery

A Dawning of Peace

From the depths of our longing souls
We cling to the sometimes dim hope
Of the gift of the Love
That heals

Peace for all the world
Beginning with a giving heart
Giving to another in openness
Stands waiting
For just one
To give to just
One other

It all starts in an instant
With the grace of surrender
Releasing fears, lack, dim illusory seekings
In just an instant
A gift
Given another

All one in holy hope
Infinite string of dominoes
Waiting for just a little nudge
A little gift
Of kindness

We (too often) wait
For the visions and feelings
Of love
To see and feel and give
Love

One gives to another
Another to yet one more
The chain reagent
One outrageous soul
Giving, without need
And peace
Dawns…
