An Act of Kindness

An act of gentle kindness
Touches a warrior’s core
Soothing spring rains
Covering, drenching, pure

Melting the strong walls
That kept him always secure
Piercing with life’s loveliness
Tapping on a heart’s door

Seeking the greater gifts
Always desiring more
Yet, ever frequent wonders
Are small, subtle and demure

Drifting in the gentle way
Current, strong and sure
Soaking in the beauty
Find your breeze and soar

An act of gentle kindness
From a deepening store
Reflected in the eyes
Love’s ever present cure

Miracles Large and Miracles Small

So many miracles great and small
Creation’s song ever soothing the soul
Life flowing through the eye of a child
Peaceful and kind and meek and mild

Power of God flows from a prayer
Spoken in simple and trusting faith
Healing and mystical waves of grace
Change the very essence of this place

Believe in life and life flows in strength
Believe in healing and healing pervades
Trust the promises of God’s holy word
Know that it will have already occurred

Risk the choice of bold and true faith
Miracles flow from the love that grows
God’s sacred gifts, present and real
Limited only by our level of zeal

Miracles large and miracles small
Stand and dance and answer the call
Be joyful in knowledge, perfect in love
Overwhelmed in the glory of gifts from above

mild breezes over the rising land
imperceptibly find the falling plain
feeling the mildest soothing wind
releasing a bit of the ancient pain

oracle’s touch from a faraway place
vibrating colors fill the soul’s mind
electrically charged ripples unseen
wonderful feeling, embrace of divine

Learning to love my Lavender Lady

From the first conversations
Strong winds blew my soul
Soothing this tired desert
Your kindness made me whole

Passionately surrendered
Through a waterfall of tears
You’re the one I so long prayed for
Days and months and years

Met you in my dreamless nights
Watched you from Creation’s view
Coming together, connecting, one
Beautiful union, precious and new

Distance made the days seem long
Storms and sorrows and fears to lose
Leaving burdens in the Cradle of Hope
In passion and peace, emotions confuse

But time and distance made us strong
Weathering winds and rains and fog
Learning the lessons while holding hands
Touch the turtle and smile at the frog

Seeking God in each new day
Sought His will, together we prayed
We lived in Light, in Gratitude’s way
Careful not to stay dismayed

Give and take, through push and pull
Chose to live and enjoy and laugh
Images and words shared as we walked
Poems and love notes and a tall giraffe

Living life each day with you
In days of rain, bright sun, or shady
Growing stronger as two and one
Learning to love my Lavender Lady

Is how I find myself
In the presence
Of your grace

Words found and lost
Thoughts finding form
All created
In these instants

Looking from within
Seeing higher truths
Releasing the old
We create

All that I see
All that you feel
All that we are
We create

Pausing for a moment
Daring to peek into the rising tide
Braving the thrills of the awesome ride
We create
