from the window of my heart
my mind cries out to you
remembering joy, bliss, peace
and longing for moments more

your lines are in my thoughts
sweet caress again haunts me
wanting another healing touch
living for the hope of a kiss

the first instants when we met
forever etched in my soul’s mind
colors sprang to new heights
in the presence of our love

tears stream from open eyes
in the certainty of your return
remembering, gazing out the window
in front of which you once stood

only your fair and soft hand
fits so perfectly in mine
as my kind and gentle heart
waits patiently for yours
