This Morning

I woke this morning
And felt a gentle breeze
I woke this morning
And heard a bird’s song

You woke this morning
I breathed you a breeze
You woke this morning
I sang a gentle song

I woke this morning
Heard your unspeakable name
I woke this morning
And would never be the same

You woke this morning
I smiled as I called your name
You woke this morning
We will never be the same

I woke this morning
And felt a gentle breeze
I woke this morning
And felt the Spirit’s pull

You woke this morning, child
And caused me to smile in delight
You woke this new morning
What a glorious and wondrous sight

Simple Perfection

the vibrancy of the leaves
in late spring.

Your presence
the flight
of the newly risen butterfly,
first sight,
first flight.

Your beauty
the glory of Nature
flowing
forever shown
true.

Your fingers
touch my heart,
my soul,
my essence…

Your love heals me.

Your love makes me smile.

Inside…
and out.

You have stolen my heart
I melt in your presence
I am enlivened in your smile
You move my soul to sing

I want you to know…

You are my constant moment
You are the beating heart of time
I am both lost and found in your mystery
You are Time’s striving beat

I want you to know…

My mind dances in great delight
In the presence of your image
Your beauty floods my soul
With feelings of needing desire

I want you to know…

Life finds its way
On the pathways of our love
With you in my life
I have need of nothing else

I want you to know…

My love for you is grand
My love for you is pure elegance
This gift of our great and true love
Is straight from the Hand of Providence

I want you to know…

I am nourished in your great kindness
Bliss is home in our dwelling place
Our love is forever and forever real
I am grateful for your gentle hand

Breathing

I woke up early this morning. Just before 4 a.m. It’s still dark outside. Everything is quiet and peaceful and at rest…

Breathing inward
Air over the lips
Across the teeth and tongue
Pulling it deeply into the chest
It feeds the soul
Renews the heart
Closing eyes
Looking deep within
Divinity shining
Love’s perfect home

Breathing out
Slowly opening eyes
Slight smile appears
Pushing the air out into the room
Reaching out to the edges
Looking out the window
Life’s potential
In the young hours of a new day
In the dawning synchronicity
Of a bright promise

Breathing in again
Feeling the beauty
Of the amazing potential
Of this breath
Of this day
Of this child
Gazing out the window
Gazing deep within

Breathing out

Breathing in

And smiling

A Crossing of Paths

Searched from the lowest valley
to the peak most high
Looked under every stone
and behind even the tallest wall

Finally
gave up the search

Before the next moon
there you were
in wonderful glory
in miraculous beauty
in amazing love
in perfect loveliness

God’s greatest gift
stood in front of me
and said “hello”
and I looked askance
and I risked a smile
and I chose to hope
and I found belief
that He had destined
our crossing of paths

Over a year later
my love for you grows ever stronger
I revere you
I adore you
I surrender to the love we share
I thank God
that you are mine
and I too
am yours
