Flowing River, Comforted Land

Water flows through the river of the valley
Twisting and bending and following her form
It knows no other way to exist
Carves her as it flows without end

Deepening of the ancient landscape
Unfamiliar and old and new and changing
Constantly moving toward an unseen place
Nature of existence, dance of water and land

Approaching the great sea, landscape changes
Smoother and wider and calmer, peaceful flow
River and land, land and river, calm bay, warm beach
All is well as  the sun draws the water from the earth

Rains will come again, washing mountains, valley, sea
Be at peace in the perfect knowledge of the great circle
All is precisely as it is supposed to be in this moment
For the waters and the dirt and the rivers and the land

many plankton drift
from rivers to great oceans
a sign of the times

Healing

Forgiven and in love
The keys are in your hand
Open the next bright door
Hidden from all the land

Healing light of God
Pulsing through your veins
Flowing rivers, warm
Cooling summer rains

Feel the holy force
Beautiful and bright
Glory shines forever
Fingers hold the light

Angels sing along
Hearts forever shine
Chorus of awesome love
Sacred song divine

Be the one that heals
Believe with all you are
Touch the suffering souls
From near or from afar

Beaming from within
Always shining through
Glory, forever bright
Healing flows from you

Rising Dove

Sparrow glides on rivers of wind
Chrysalis mightily breaks free
School swims in synchronicity
Gaia’s seasons, imperceptibly slow

Dancing on the waves of change
Creation destroys, illusion wanes
Flowing on the thoughts of all
Mixing, melding, building, fall

Mother’s kiss, healing heart
Father’s voice, creation’s start
Universal tides of love
Dance of phoenix, rising dove

reflections of self

today i walked by the river of life
and found a spot where the waters were still
i watched a minnow as she swam with her friends
and i realized that she was a small part of a larger whole

some moments i am a teacher
others, i am a student
occasionally, i am absent
i wondered if my minnow friend knew that today she was my teacher…

my focus moved from the school that swam on
onto the reflection of my face
quite clear, as the moment swam on
the ripples held me as if in a trance

and i saw in my eyes the wisdom of my father
and in the corner of my mouth the kind smile of mom
a hint of my physics teacher as i wrinkled my forehead
and i saw with my heart my precious child

and the realizations grew, as the minnows swam further
and the dawning took life, as the ripples encircled
each life that has touched me has took seed in my spirit
each soul that i’ve touched, i give a part of me

connections
ripples
teachings
students
life
rivers
lessons

the chaotic, beauteous connections of life’s teachers
the tutelage of the ages, lasting but a moment
sparked in the eye of a minnow
reflected in the eye of my heart
