Blink of an Eye

The blink of her right eye
Convinced me of her words
I said I’d follow her anywhere
And I did

Into the dark closet
The sun no longer shone
The foul odors nagging
Coming from places unknown

Remembering the sunlight
As he pushed me on the swing
Warm rays, warmer love
And the songs I heard him sing

Wondering yet again
Why would she torment me so?
These question that gnaw at my mind
Why doesn’t daddy seem to know?

Deeper into the darkness
Only place left to hide
Colors around the next bend
Where evils no longer reside

I think I hear her coming
I need to hurry away
Lost in darker caverns
Refuse to longer stay

Haunted by the blink of an eye
Prisoner to the oldest shame
Welcome to the depths of hell
She’s calling again my name

Filled in your great grace
Strengthen, Lord, my faith in you
I need your holy embrace

First in each new day
As I pray a heartfelt prayer
Close my eyes and open my heart
Reach out and you are there

First in my intentions
I live to do your will
Fill me with your truth
As we spend a moment, still

First in all I do
I need you more each day
Take my hand and lead me
As I walk first in your way

Forever

The Power of Providence is without limit.
The Love of God has the ability to heal.
The Peace of Creation flows freely to all.
The God of yesterday is here right now.

Limitless
Infinite
Available
Now

The Power of Creation is in my hand.
The Love of God is in my heart.
The limits of humanity exist only in my view.
The choice to be divine is here right now.

Limitless
Available
Here
Now

Let God’s Limitless Power flow through your veins.
Know that the Power to Heal flows from the Love in Your heart.
Be one with the Holiness that is the Universal Source.
See the suffering, close your eyes, open your eyes, see perfection.

Drifting

Drifting down the wide and slow stream
Sun departed from a warm, bright day
Fireflies accompany on the graceful trip
Reflection of the moon showing the way

Close the eyes and look to the silence
Darkness pervades every new thought
Ancient terrors of time long forgotten
Fighting battles that needn’t be fought

Sins and transgressions of mind arrive
Deadly visions sparked by the fear
Pridefully taking the peace of the ride
Quickly losing all that’s held clear

Faithfully trusting the stream of all love
Jealousy and envy are quickly dissolved
Gluttony and greed have no home in peace
Wrath loses strength where grace is involved

Continue the ride down the stream of real life
Sloth is no more when we choose to take the oar
Lust is forgotten in a moment of true love
Enjoy the calm journey, now and evermore

Walking through the night’s moonlit beauty
Reached out and touched your waiting heart
Thoughts mixed with feelings of strong desire
Combining and drifting and moving ever closer

Twinkling stars far above the perfect scene
Called to mind the smallness of this coupling
You and I and millions of millions of others
Galaxies of wonder in dazzling bright eyes

Yet in the midst of the overwhelmingness of all
Not really in our deepest essence all that small
Part of a universe of galaxies of oceans of love
One in the waters, divine home of Providence

Drifting through the night’s moonlit beauty
Riding the oceans of stars rising before us
Unified in the great ebb and flow of forever
Combining and loving and moving ever closer
